FAQ

What kind of camera do I need? What else do I need?

You can use any camera in which you can adjust shutter speed, aperture and ISO. You may also need some photo editing software to tidy up your images. For example Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom or Affinity Photo.

Can I use a smartphone camera? Which apps can I use?

Yes you can. If you have an iPhone, try apps like SlowShutterCam or SlowShutter. And if you have an Android, try Camera FV-5 App.

Do I need prior experience

You do not need any prior knowledge or experience you just need to know the basics of how your camera works. The Mini Membership is suitable for beginners too and the Creative Family is a welcoming space for photographers and creatives of all abilities.

Will the live session be recorded?

Yes — live session will be recorded and shared on our mailing list, so you can catch up if you can’t attend or revisit anything in your own time.

Can I join from anywhere in the world?

Yes — this is open to participants wherever you’re based. We welcome people from different places, backgrounds and perspectives, and encourage you to bring your own experience into the course.
